Extraordinary Doily + stuff

I made this doily for a friend. It's from the pattern "Extraordinary" from the book Extra-Special Doilies, designs by Mary Werst, published by Leisure Arts, 2004. Sorry for the cruddy photo---I gave it to her before I realized I hadn't taken a photo of it, so I shot it on her couch in low light.

On the plus side, since I was over there watching DVDs with her, I decided to leave all the random crap that accumulates around my spot on the couch in the photo and label it all so you can see it.

That's a 40 oz Kleen Kanteen water bottle in a carrier that I crocheted for it myself. At the time I don't think they made the carriers for it yet, and when I switched from using plastic bottles, I really wanted some way to carry it over my shoulder like the plastic bottle carriers I was used to. So I made one myself. Maybe at some point I'll photograph it properly and put it up by itself.

Also, I have about ten million crochet hooks (okay, about 25) so I finally gave in and got them a hook case. Now I'm out of slots in the case and I need a bigger one
