So polite.
I could love him–
I think Meghan does.
The katana—sakabatou–
Always gets the girls.
He’s too serious, too—hurting;
I wouldn’t marry him
Even if I could,
And I have Jonathan.
I don’t know about Meghan,
Though she has Chris.
We lust after him shamelessly–
He won’t mind.
He’s fictional, after all.

As a bit of background, Rurouni Kenshin is an anime that was fairly popular in Japan and that was translated and shown on American TV and sold as DVDs. It features a softspoken swordsman with red hair and violet eyes as the title character. One of my floormates in college (the Meghan mentioned) collected the DVDs and we would watch them as a group.
